How to Load a Roll-Off Dumpster the Right Way
Start with the heavy, flat material on the bottom — plaster, tile, decking boards and dense debris. It creates a stable floor and keeps the container balanced on the truck.
Break down anything hollow. Cabinets, dressers, boxes and furniture frames trap air. Ten minutes with a sledge or a reciprocating saw can save you a whole second container.
Fill front to back in layers instead of dumping everything through the door. Layering lets you use the full cubic capacity rather than building one tall pile in the middle.
Keep the load level with the top rail. Anything above the rail cannot be tarped, which means it cannot legally leave your property and we have to reschedule the pickup.
Leave prohibited items out: paint, fuel, oil, batteries, tires, propane tanks, refrigerants and hazardous chemicals. If you are not sure about an item, ask before it goes in.
