Prepping Your Driveway for Dumpster Delivery

Our truck needs roughly 60 feet of straight clearance to roll a container off, plus about 23 feet of overhead room. Low limbs and power lines are the most common reasons a delivery has to be repositioned.

Clear the drop zone before we arrive — move vehicles, trash cans, basketball hoops and anything within a few feet of where the container will sit.

If you have a newer asphalt or paver driveway, request protective boards. We set them under the rails and wheels so the container never bites into the surface.

Mark your preferred spot with a cone, a bucket or a spray-painted X. Our drivers place the container exactly where you point, and a marked spot removes the guesswork.

If access is tight — a narrow city alley in Norfolk, a shared drive in Portsmouth — call it out when you book so we send the right truck the first time.
